Walking tour of Mount Olivet Cemetery focusing on the history of Mount Olivet Cemetery, the history of Maspeth, and the history of some of the former business people of the area who are interred at Mount Olivet.

Tour led by David Gigler, Superintendent. 1-3 P.M.

Includes a handout, and refreshments at the conclusion of the tour.

A $5.00 donation will be requested to benefit the programs of the Greater Ridgewood Historical Society which is co-sponsoring this event.

Civil War Veterans Monument Dedications by the Sons of Union Veterans starting at 10:30, and a Civil War Relic Display, 10:00-1:00 P.M. at the main office off Grand Avenue. For information contact George Weinmann at 917-832-9999. FREE

Grave Flags for veterans interred at Mount Olivet Cemetery will be available at the office for the first 200 families who visit. Historical information will be requested that will be added to our Veterans Archive. Families should visit the office 9:00-3:30, Monday-Friday, 65-40 Grand Avenue. Hand-out on falg etiquette. FREE
